Apple's Beats has announced its new Beats Solo 4 with major improvements on the inside and outside

At first glance, the Beats Solo 4 comes with the same design as its predecessor but with the necessary changes. It weighs only 217 grams with a comfortable fit and is significantly cheaper than the Beats Studio Pro. It comes with durable UltraPlush cushions for an easy yet comfortable fit, coupled with infinite-rotation gimbals on the ear cups. Beats Solo 4 also features adjustable sliders on the flex-grip headband for longer sessions.

In terms of intervals and audio, the Beats Solo 4 comes with a custom 40 mm transducer to minimize noise and distortions. It also has a Personalized Spatial Audio and dynamic head-tracking support for an immersive user experience. The beam-forming microphones, conjoined with noise-learning algorithms, deliver improved call quality.

As for the peripherals, the Beats Solo 4 can be used completely wirelessly, wired over USB-C, and wired over a 3.5 mm headphone jack. While using the headset wirelessly makes more sense, we are glad the company brought the additional two modes as well for convenience. Additionally, users can listen to Lossless Audio with USB-C while charging the headphones simultaneously.

The battery life has been improved quite a bit, as the Solo 4 can now offer up to 50 hours of playback. You can use the headphones for five hours on a 10-minute charge thanks to the Fast Fuel charging mechanism. However, you will not get Active Noise Cancelation with the Solo 4, which is one of the major differences compared to the Solo Pro, but the on-ear design helps reduce noise altogether.

Internally, the Beats Solo 4 comes with a custom Beats chip that bolsters iOS and Android with a simple pairing process. The headphones can be used with iPhone and Android phones with supporting Find My features. It is truly a hybrid device, bringing the best to both worlds.

The Beats Solo 4 is available in three distinct color options to choose from - Matte Black, Slate Blue, and Cloud Pink. The Solo 4 is available for $199.99 from Apple's website. The company has also launched the new Beats Solo Buds, so be sure to check that out as well.
