After a very long wait, Battlefield 6, the long-anticipated next entry in the popular first-person shooter series, has finally been revealed with a new trailer.
The trailer, which can be watched below, offers the first in-engine look at the game and at Pax Armata, a Private Military company bankrolled by former NATO states whose agenda threatens peace with the risk of a global conflict. The quick montage of the sequences featured in the trailer sets the tone for what players can expect to see both in the single player campaign and the multiplayer modes, highlighting how the sixth main entry in the series will bring back some of the series trademark features, such as the visceral combat powered by player freedom and deep destruction mechanics that will allow players to blow through walls and even take down building, and a vast selection of vehicles, including tanks, and fighter jets.
The Battlefield 6 reveal trailer also confirmed that it won't take long to get another extended look at the game. The game's multiplayer modes will be revealed next week, on July 31, with a live event with the developers from Battlefield Studios that will air at 11:30 AM PDT, 14:40 PM PDT. The event will show how the game is the most ambitious game in the series' history, showcasing maps, play modes, and more. After the broadcast, fans of the series will be able to get an additional look at the game with multiple livestreams from FPS creators, with talent joining in from live events held in Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris and London. A follow up event will be held in Hong Kong on August 2.
Battlefield 6 is in development for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. If the rumors are correct, the game should launch on October 10.
