AMD's Fire Range 9000HX CPUs will be deployed in ASUS premium gaming laptops, including the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D.
ASUS Website Source Code Reveals AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D Gaming Laptops Page is About to Go Live
It won't be far from now that we will see AMD's Ryzen 9000HX aka Fire Range chips integrated into gaming laptops. The Zen 5-based premium mobile chips were announced at CES and ASUS was among those who showcased their Fire Range-based gaming laptops like ROG Strix 18 2025 edition.
While the ROG Strix 18 2025 based on the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX is already live on the ASUS website, the X3D-based laptops aren't yet announced officially. However, we spotted the early preparation, which is also visible in the search engine. Just googling 'Ryzen 9 9955HX3D Laptops' shows an ASUS page that is dedicated to gaming laptops based on the 9955HX3D processor.
However, there isn't anything available on the page, which means ASUS has yet to prepare and launch the laptop pages on the website. In the source code of the page, we can see Ryzen 9 9955HX3D getting mentioned a couple of times, clearly indicating that ASUS is going to launch 'Gaming' laptops based on this chip.
We didn't find anything related to the laptop models or specifications, but considering we just had a Polish retailer listing Ryzen 9 9955HX3D-based custom laptops for pre-orders, it's highly likely that the major vendors are about to unveil their designs. Since ROG Strix is a premium class by ASUS and already brings the Ryzen 9 9955HX CPUs paired with the RTX 5070 GPU, the 9955HX3D might be deployed in the ROG Strix 2025 edition as well.
That said, with such a powerful gaming CPU, we expect ASUS to offer GPU options up to RTX 5090 apart from other SKUs such as the RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070. There aren't many vendors who have announced laptops with the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D and the only one I remember is MSI, which announced Ryzen 9955HX3D-based gaming laptops at CES. However, two Chinese manufacturers also announced their custom designs, featuring Ryzen 9 9955HX3D and RTX 50 series GPUs.
