ASUS has just introduced a new DRAM technology called NitroPath which can boost DDR5 memory speeds by up to 400 MT/s.
ASUS Makes DRAM Signaling Even Better On Its Next-Gen Motherboard With NitroPath Layout Routing: Expands DDR5 Speeds By Up To 400 MT/s
Today's DDR5 memory modules top out around 8000 MT/s which are some blazing fast speeds and going beyond that means you have to go the hardcore overclocking route. There's one issue with using such high-speed memory, first of all, you have to ensure that your motherboard actually has support for high-speed memory and more importantly, you have to see if your CPU takes advantage of higher speeds as AMD chips mostly have the sweet-spot around DDR5-6000 and a few tiers above for gaming workloads.
ASUS being a leader in motherboard manufacturing has unveiled a new technology that can help speed up the memory performance further using high-speed DDR5 DRAM such as the 8000 MT/s modules we just mentioned above.
The company's answer comes in the form of an advanced and exclusive layout routing called NitroPath which essentially integrates a more optimized routing path through which the DRAM communicates with the CPU's IMC (Integrated Memory Controller). This routing ensures reduced noise interface through the use of shorter gold finger pins located within the DIMM slots that can help boost memory speeds by up to 400 MT/s. That's 8400 MT/s using the high-frequency spec.
The NitroPath DRAM technology also allows ASUS to feature reinforced DIMM slots which can withstand wear and tear during memory installation much better than standard slots. This is a great feature for enthusiasts and overclockers who are always trying out new memory DIMMs. Following are some of the specs shared by ASUS:

ASUS plans on sharing more information on NitroPath DRAM memory technology soon but it will debut first on AMD's 800-series platform. The first motherboards to feature support for this tech will be ASUS's ROG Crosshair X870E HERO and ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming WIFI which are expected to launch later next month.
