*Update: As confirmed by Tomshardware, all these cards have been sold out despite their high price tags.
Several ASTRAL RTX 5090 Liquid cards can be seen in this Microcenter, but since the price is too high, nobody seems interested.
ASUS ASTRAL LC RTX 5090 Cards Listed for $3719 on Microcenter; RTX 5080 are Also Available in Decent Quantities but Buyers Seem Uninterested
The Dallas Microcenter is one of the first ones to see plenty of RTX 5090s and not just the regular ones, but premium liquid editions from ASUS. As shared by a user on Reddit, the Microcenter just received good stock of the ASUS ASTRAL LC RTX 5090 32 GB cards on the shelves, and 'not' surprisingly, the cards aren't selling.
Usually, people would buy the cards for a few hundred dollars higher, but this seems to be too expensive for users to even consider. As per the report, the card was listed at a whopping $3719, which is roughly 1.85X more expensive than the base model of the RTX 5090. Even though it is a premium OC model with an advanced cooling solution, in no world should it cost over $2500, let alone $3700+.
Thankfully, this time, users are seemingly not interested in buying those, but a surprising fact to be noticed here is the price difference between ASUS's announced MSRP and the retailer's MSRP. As per ASUS's official website, the official MSRP for the ASTRAL LC RTX 5090 is $3409 and the cards are listed for $300+ on Microcenter. The official ASUS MSRP was already too high to even be considered, but this is another level of scalping AIBs and retailers are carrying out.
Nonetheless, in the following days and weeks, expect a lot of RTX 50 series GPUs to arrive at the shelves in most parts of the world. The availability will become better in the next month and so will the prices. As always, it's better to wait for the prices to stabilize and save money by not buying the most premium editions since they hardly offer any value compared to the base editions.
As far as the RTX 5080 goes, the Redditor confirmed that there are 'tons' of 'normal' RTX 5080 cards. The exact details of those cards aren't shared, but it seems as if they are also priced quite higher than the MSRP, which is why they aren't out of stock yet apparently. Coming to the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070, we have seen these cards having decent availability as well, but the prices can be several hundred dollars higher than their announced MSRPs.
