AMD Ryzen AI 400 & Ryzen AI MAX CPUs power ASUS's 2026 laptop lineups, including ZenBook, ProArt, ExpertBook, and VivoBook series.
ASUS Intros Several AMD Ryzen AI 400 & Ryzen AI MAX-Powered Laptops In Its 2026 Zenbook, ProArt, ExpertBook & VivoBook Lineups
AMD has formally launched its Ryzen AI 400 CPUs, codenamed Gorgon Point, and ASUS is one of the biggest vendors to roll out multiple laptops featuring these chips within its Zenbook, ExpertBook, ProArt, and Vivobook families.
ASUS ProArt PX13 & ProArt PX13 GoPro Edition 2026
For professional content creators, ASUS is rolling out its brand new AMD-powered ProArt PX13 laptop, which is based on the Ryzen AI MAX series. These laptops feature a lot of power with up to 16 Zen 5 CPU cores, 40 RDNA 3.5 iGPU cores, and an NPU that offers 50 TOPS of AI power. The processor of choice for the ProArt PX13 is the Ryzen AI MAX+ 395, which is the fastest Strix Halo chip on the market right now.
The display on the ProArt PX13 is the top Lumina Pro OLED design, featuring a 13.3" 3K (2880x1800) OLED panel with 400 nits of standard and 500 nits of HDR brightness, DisplayHDR True Black 500 rating, and 100% DCI-P3. There's also a front-facing FHD camera with IR function.
Internals include up to 128 GB of LPDDR5x memory while the standard model comes with 32 GB of LPDDR5x, 1up to 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage, and top IO capabilities such as Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, dual USB 4.0 Type-C ports, and a 73Whr battery which is charged by a 200W AC Adapter.
The laptop itself weighs 1.38 kg and has a thickness of 1.58-1.77cm. Besides the standard model, ASUS will also launch a GoPro Edition, which comes with GoPro design aesthetics, a bundled ASUS Pen 3.0 stylus, and a hard shell case with a multi-purpose strap, which comes with a customizable storage area. Users will also get a 12-month free GoPro Premium+ subscription valued at $99.99. The ProArt PX13 laptops will be available in February 2026.
ASUS Zenbook S16, Zenbook S14, Zenbook 14 2026
The ASUS ZenBook AMD lineup includes three models: the S16, the S14, and the 14. These models adopt the company's Ceraluminum design methodology and precision cut-outs, which give the ZenBook a nice look and feel while retaining their slim and lightweight design.
The top model within the family is the Zenbook S16, which features three AMD Ryzen AI 400 "Gorgon" configurations: the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, Ryzen AI 9 465, and the Ryzen AI 5 445. These chips pack up to twelve Zen 5 cores, faster clock speeds for both the CPU and the iGPU, and up to 60 TOPs NPU. These laptops are configured with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x memory and 1 TB of PCIe4 NVMe SSDs.
For display, ASUS is using a 16" WQXGA+ (2880x1800) 3K OLED panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a refresh rate of 120Hz, 1100 nits of HDR Peak brightness, and a touch capability. The internals also include an 83.0 Whr battery, which is powered by a 100W Type-C AC Adapter.
IO on the laptop includes a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, 2 USB 4.0 Type-C ports, 1 HDMI 2.1 port, 1 3.5mm audio combo hjack and an SD 4.0 reader. You also get Wi-Fi 7 + BT5.4 support. The ASUS ZenBook S16 laptops start at 3.31 lbs in weight and measure 1.19-1.29cm thick.
Besides the S16 models, ASUS is also offering the Zenbook in S14 or 14" models, which pack the AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 and the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 CPUs. These feature similar specs, but the display configuration is updated to a 3K OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak 1000 nits of HDR brightness. These models are expected to launch in February 2026.
Lastly, ASUS will also offer the ASUS ZenBook 14, which is a more cost-optimized ZenBook based on the AMD Ryzen AI 5 440 CPU with RDNA 3.5 iGPU. This model packs 32 GB of LPDDR5x memory, 1 TB PCIe4 SSD, a 14" OLED panel with a maximum resolution of 1920x1200, a peak brightness of 400 nits, a baseline weight of 2.65 lbs, 1.49cm thickness, and all the latest IO capabilities.
The ZenBook 14 will pack a 75.0 Whr battery and will come with a 68W Type-C AC Adapter. It will come in Jade Black colors.
ASUS ExpertBook P5 2026
Next on the ASUS "AMD Ryzen AI 400" list are the ExpertBook P5 series, which come in 16" and 14" flavors. These laptops are designed for business-oriented users and equipped with up to AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 CPUs. The specs include up to 32 GB of DDR5 memory, dual PCIe 4.0 SSDs (up to 2 TB + 1 TB configs), and support for PCIe 5.0 SSDs too.
Featuring a similar sleek and slim design as the other ASUS lineups, the ExpertBook P5 G2 laptops weigh in at just 1.38kg and offer a thickness of 1.80cm. The 16" model comes with a 70Whr battery. Both come with a 90W USB Type-C AC Adapter. IO includes 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, 1 USB 4.0 port, 2 USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, 1 HDMI 2.1 port, a 3.5mm audio combo jack, and a single RJ45 LAN port. There's also Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support.
The 16" model comes with a 16-inch WQXGA LED with a 2560x1600 resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and peak brightness of 400 nits. The same is true for the 14" model expect it comes in a 14-inch configuration.
ASUS Vivobook S16, VivoBook 18, VivoBook 16 2026
Lastly, ASUS is refreshing its VivoBook S16, VivoBook 18, and VivoBook 16 lineups with new 2026 models featuring the AMD Ryzen AI 400 CPUs, alongside several Ryzen 300, Ryzen 200, and Ryzen 100 additions too. The new laptops come with a metallic design, featuring a CNC-engraved logo, and are designed to be slim and sleek. The S16 is 1.59cm thick and weighs 1.70kg for the base configuration, the VivoBook 18 is 1.86-1.99cm thick and weighs 2.60kg for the base configuration, while the VivoBook 16 laptop is 1.79cm thick and weighs 1.88kg for the base configuration.
The 16" models are equipped with up to AMD Ryzen AI 7 400 CPUs. Both come in 16 GB or 32 GB DDR5 SO-DIMM or soldered memory configurations, and up to 1 TB of PCIe Gen4 SSD storage. IO includes 2 USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C ports, 2 USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, Audio Jack, and Wi-Fi 6 support. These also feature a larger touchpad with smart gestures for an intuitive experience.
Display on the 16" model is either a 1920x1200 OLED panel with 300 nits of brightness or an IPS panel with the same resolution but with 400 nits of brightness and a 144Hz refresh rate. For the 14" VivoBook, these only come with OLED panels with a maximum resolution of 1920x1200 and 300 nits of brightness. The 18" model features an IPS panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 300 nits of brightness. All VivoBook laptops feature a 70Whr battery, which is charged by a 68W USB Type-C adapter.
