ASRock & Biostar have confirmed support for the next-gen AMD Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" desktop CPUs with its latest AM5 motherboard BIOS.

ASRock & Biostar now join ASUS, MSI & Gigabyte in offering support for the next-generation AMD Ryzen 9000 Desktop CPU family, codenamed Granite Ridge, which will be utilizing the Zen 5 core architecture. As of right now, all major AMD motherboard partners have rolled out their AM5 BIOS updates for existing motherboards which include X670E, X670, B650E, B650 & A620 series.

Like the previous BIOS release, ASRock and Biostar will be leveraging the AMD AGESA 1.1.7.0 (Patch A) BIOS firmware for their AM5 motherboards. Just like Gigabyte, ASRock officially lists down AMD's Ryzen 9000 series on its BIOS page. The size of the BIOS has increased by almost 1.50 MB which represents the addition of large chunks of code which are necessary to support the Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" Desktop CPUs.

Meanwhile, Biostar has also announced that the entirety of its AM5 motherboards have received the newest AGESA 1.1.7.0 Patch A BIOS which adds support for the same AMD Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" Desktop CPUs.
