Apple has just released beta 9 of its upcoming iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26 updates to developers for testing and bug curation purposes. The latest beta builds arrive a week after the company seeded the eighth beta, which was presumed to be the last beta update before the company rolled out the updates officially. It appears that the company still has one more beta round left before the release candidate build will be made available to developers.

If you are a registered developer, you can download and install the latest iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 beta 9 updates on your iPhone and iPad through the stock Settings app on your devices. All you have to do is head over to General > Software Update > Beta Updates and then follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the builds. Note that the process is the same on both iPhone and iPad. Additionally, you also have to make sure that your Apple ID is connected to your Developer Account to receive the updates over the air, otherwise, the updates will not appear in the Settings app.

Apart from iOS 26, Apple has also released beta 9 of macOS Tahoe 26 to developers, which can be downloaded through the Software Update mechanism in System Settings. The latest beta also requires you to link your Apple ID to your Developer Account to receive the OTA updates. The company has also released watchOS 26, visionOS 26, and tvOS 26 to developers for testing purposes, and it will potentially be the last update before the company seeds the release candidate to grand master updates.
