Today Apple has seen fit to release its next in line beta updates for iOS 12.4, macOS 10.14.6 and watchOS 5.3 to developers. If you're a registered developer and want to install the latest beta for yourself, be sure to follow the steps below. Let's dive in to see what new changes have Apple implemented in the mix and what developers should look forward to.
iOS 12.4 Beta 5, macOS 10.14.6 Beta 3, watchOS Beta 4 Released To Developers
Starting off with iOS 12.4 beta 5, you can install it through the Apple Developer Center or over-the-air. However, do take note that a proper configuration profile is required from the Developer Center. Since there were no new major features discovered in the first four iOS 12.4 betas, we suspect the fifth beta will stick fast to the streak. However, there are a number of bug fixes and performance enhancements.
Similarly, the fourth beta of macOS 10.14.6 can be installed on your compatible Macs through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences. Do make sure that a proper configuration profile is installed through the Apple Developer Center. Since there were no new additions found in the first two builds, we suspect the third beta will not feature any forward-facing additions as well. However, bug fixes and performance enhancements are added for smoother user experience.
Lastly, Apple has also seeded the fourth developer build of watchOS 5.3. if you're interested in giving it a swing, it can be installed on your Apple Watch through the dedicated Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Simply, navigate to General > Software Update and you're good to go. Make sure that a proper configuration profile is installed from the Developer Center. Again, there were no new features discovered in the first three beta builds so we suspect no change is present in the latest build as well.
