Just when we thought the MacBook Pro was as good as it gets, Apple jumped right in and surprised as all with the new 2018 lineup that is capable of putting a lot of notebooks out there to shame. You can configure it with an i9 processor with 6 cores, 32GB of RAM, features a True Tone display and a brand new T2 chip that allows 'Hey Siri.' But that's just the tip of the iceberg. There's a lot of stuff that is brand new under the hood.

Alongside the new notebooks, Apple launched something interesting as well. This is something which was previously exclusive to 12-inch MacBook users, the Leather Sleeve. Today, Apple is launching the accessory for the entire MacBook Pro lineup in both 13 and 15-inch flavors.

Available in Saddle Brown, Midnight Blue and Black, the sleeve is designed to keep your notebook safe. Thanks to its microfiber lining on the inside, you can rest assured that nothing will scratch up that matte aluminum enclosure.

Here's the literature straight from Apple's website:

First introduced with MacBook, Apple leather sleeves are now available for the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro in Saddle Brown, Midnight Blue and, for the first time, Black. Designed with high-quality leather and a soft microfiber lining for extra protection, the sleeves are a perfect complement to MacBook Pro for users on the go.

The Leather Sleeve is not cheap by any means. On Apple's website, the 13-inch model of the sleeve will set you back $179. The price of the 15-inch version is not available yet. But if we are to take a guess, then be ready to shell out at least $199 for it.
