iOS 19.4 Personalized Siri feature already under testing ahead of iOS 19 release

Apple will announce and release the first beta of iOS 19 in June, alongside a handful of additional updates. It appears that the company has already started testing iOS 19.4 ahead of time in order to perfect the features before rolling them out to the general public. The news comes after the company delayed its highly anticipated Personalized Siri feature until next year, even though the company's software engineers are confident that it will be released later this year, possibly in the fall.

Apple plans a major iOS 19.4 update, including the potential launch of personalized Siri amid ongoing testing

The news is quite surprising as iOS 19.4 is an update scheduled for a spring release next year, and while it will be a major update, the company really wants to fix any bugs or errors in the build. The build was spotted in MacRumors' visitor logs, indicating that iOS 19 and iOS 19.4 are both in the active developmental stage.

Apple was supposed to release its Personalized Siri feature with iOS 18.4, but sadly, it did not pan out the way the company planned. The feature is now speculated to launch next year, and we believe iOS 19.4 will be the update that brings the feature to light. On the flip side, it was recently reported by The New York Times that Apple is planning to release a completely revamped version of Siri later this year, and if the news has any hint to it, the company could port the Personalized Siri feature within iOS 19 or iOS 19.1.

We believe that the iOS 19.4 update will be the candidate build to receive the Personalized Siri feature, based on Apple's claims. Apple is also working on a handful of additional features for the iOS 19 update, and they will be rolled out gradually. If you are not familiar, the Personalized Siri feature will allow the digital assistant to have more context on what is happening on the display of the iPhone. Moreover, it would also have more personal information for a user, shifting all features and preferences in accordance. It will also have deeper in-app controls, allowing users to perform more actions using just their voice.

Apple praised the Personalized feature a lot, but its inability to release it on time makes iOS 18 a slightly less capable update, even though it brought Apple Intelligence to the table. Regardless, the Personalized Siri feature itself was the crown of Apple Intelligence, which has been reduced to spell checks and halfhearted image generation technology. Apple will potentially upgrade Apple Intelligence with iOS 19, and we will be covering the release in extensive detail.
