Google has finally released Android 15 to all Pixel phones and tablets, and you can download and install the update right now through the Settings app. The update arrives after the company released six major previews and betas, and it brings significant upgrades to the mix, which you can check out.
Android 15 is now available to the public for all Pixel phones and tablets
If you happen to have a Pixel device, you can install Android 15 on it right now, and the process to install the update is quite simple and straightforward. The update comes with a slew of new features, such as Private Space, Theft Detection, Offline Devices, and Remote Lock, which are only some of the new additions. Step 1: The first thing that you have to do is launch the Settings app on your Google Pixel phone and head over to System.
Step 2: Now scroll down and tap on Software Updates.
Step 3: Tap on System Update, and you will be taken to the installation screen.
From hereon, simply follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update on your Pixel phone. The update is sized differently for each device, and we are currently running the latest build on the Pixel 8, which has a little over 1.5GB. Android 15 is a major update, and it will renew your Android experience on your Pixel-branded phone, especially the Google Pixel 9 lineup. The update will also include a handful of AI features for the Pixel 9 and older models, which the company announced at its I/O event earlier this year.
Android 15 release also includes a plethora of visual changes, including the Volume adjustment interface and the ability to show longer app names. There are new widgets to choose from, along with new customization tools to better compete against the likes of iOS 18. Android 15 also brings a slew of improvements for foldable and tablets.
