We all know how Android is slowly becoming more and more intuitive, and for all the right reasons. Over the past couple of iterations and even feature drops, we have seen Google add some really useful features to the OS. Now, we have a report that suggests Android 15 might finally add battery health settings so you can check just how long your battery can hold the charge.
Google is finally considering battery health a necessary option with Android 15
Now, it is worth noting that I would not call it copying Apple. True, iOS has had this feature for a long time, but there are several Android features that have made their way to iOS, as well. So, we must bury this debate right here.
As you can see in the screenshot above, the feature has already been accessible after the latest December feature drop. However, it can only be accessed after some tinkering, and once you do manage to view it, you cannot really see much information available. The battery health is simply not being shown, and that is presumably because this feature will debut in full with Android 15 next year.
Note that Android 15 will not be out for another year, and considering the feature drops that Google will be releasing, this could come out before the next major operating system release. Whatever the case may be, I am just glad that Google has decided to work on this because it is about time a feature this important makes its way to everyone.
You should expect a lot more detail to start surfacing in the coming months, and as always, we will keep you posted about everything we learn about Android 15 and all the other changes that Google decides to make.
