AMD's Ryzen Master, designed to control the firm's CPU speeds, has received a new update, supporting the latest Ryzen 8000G "Hawk Point" APUs.
AMD Makes Improvements In Ryzen Master, Now Making Curve Optimizer Much More Easier To Implement With Ryzen 8000G APU Support
AMD's Ryzen Master software, which is quite a popular asset for overclockers, has received a new update, v2.13.0.2908, which has brought in support for the recently released "Hawk Point" Ryzen 8000G APUs. This is certainly a great addition since it shows that APUs aren't behind the Ryzen 7000(X) CPUs when it comes to overclocking. The new support shows that Team Red has indeed prepped for the Zen 4 releases as Ryzen Master gains the fundamental support.
Release Highlights
- Adds support for systems utilizing AMD Ryzen 8000G Series desktop processors for the AM5 platform
- Curve Optimizer values can now also be applied on the fly (no need for system restart)
Apart from bringing support for the new Ryzen 8000G APUs, the AMD Ryzen Master has now been enhanced with a new feature targeted towards making the software more accessible. For those unaware, AMD's Curve Optimizer is a utility that allows consumers to experiment with the performance by tuning the power fed into the CPU.
Now, the feature has received a great upgrade, which allows users to directly tune their CPU voltages without actually needing to restart systems since the adjusted values can now be applied with a fly. Users can also adjust the curve to better suit their tastes whether they want to focus on higher performance or higher efficiency. As we have seen in the past, AMD's CPUs perform really well even when undervolted. The new update weighs in at 260 MB and you can grab it from this link.
