The recently released workstation Threadripper PRO 9000 WX series now gets full support on the Ryzen Master software for overclocking on the fly.
AMD Rolls Out Ryzen Master 3.0.0.4199, Offering Support for Zen 5-Based Threadripper PRO 9000 WX Series and Various Optimizations
AMD launched its Ryzen Threadripper 9000 WX series two days ago, succeeding the previous 7000 WX lineup but now with a newer Zen 5 architecture. The processors offer configurations starting from 16 cores, all the way up to 96 cores with SMT. These are now officially included in AMD's database for support in the latest version of the Ryzen Master software.
AMD Ryzen Master is a popular overclocking tool for Ryzen processors and memory. Through the software, users can easily tweak various parameters like core clocks, voltages, timings etc. to achieve higher CPU and RAM speeds without having to deal with them in the BIOS. Since new Ryzen Master is able to deliver such optimizations on the fly, users will be able to overclock the Ryzen Threadripper 9000 WX processors and RAM without having to restart their systems.
The new version 3.0.0.4199 also improves the support for the existing Ryzen 9000 series for the AM5 platform and has added the Optimized Performance Profile (OPP) feature for memory overclocking. The latest version also improved the support for PBO, eliminating the need to restart the system when switching to the PBO Advanced control mode.
Multiple improvements were made as well, including a redesigned user interface, which now offers a real-time workspace for monitoring the modifications, an option for creating and saving multiple profiles with individual profile optimized for particular workloads, and more. However, there are some more issues AMD is currently working on, which will affect the user experience, particularly with Threadripper PRO 9000 WX CPUs. This includes a slow launch of the application due to a higher core count, but a fix should be coming soon.
