The world's fastest gaming CPU, the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, is now out of stock across all major retailers due to insane demand.
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU Sees Entire Stock Dwindle In A Matter of Hours After Launch Due To Insane Demand
Yesterday, AMD launched its Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, which we referred to as the fastest gaming chip that one can get your hands on right now in our review. The CPU has seen amazing reviews and its reception has been so strong that the chip is now out of stock across all major retailers across the globe.
Starting with the major US retailers, Newegg, Amazon, BestBuy, Microcenter, and B&H list the chip as "Sold Out" or "Out of Stock." Individuals have reported that a few Microcenter stores in the US still have the chip in stock, but due to strong demand, they may soon be out of stock, which shows the huge demand for this chip.
3 out of 5 of Micro Centers in NYC area have 9800x3d available, 2 sold out.

This is due to gamers waiting for a new chip that offers them huge gaming performance uplifts and the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is spectacular in that regard.

The same is the case in the UK, EU, and Asian markets where the chip is out of stock. 3DCenter has been tracking the stock situation across a variety of major retailers in the EU, and it looks like most well-known retailers have run dry, and the next allotment is expected to arrive on the 12th of November however that too is pre-booked due to an insane amount of pre-orders for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D.

According to 3DCenter forums, Mindfactory now has so many pre-orders for the Ryzen 7 9800X3D that even the subsequent delivery from AMD tomorrow is already sold out. As a result, Mindfactory is currently no longer accepting pre-orders.https://t.co/MUUkY6MAt9

Ryzen 7 9800X3D market start in 🇩🇪🇦🇹 +12h
Almost all known retailers have run out of stock, and in most cases it's no longer possible to pre-order. The next shipment is expected to arrive on Nov 12, for which Galaxus (529€) and Hardwarecamp24 (549€) are still accepting orders.

For Japanese buyers, the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU is expected to be available on the 15th of November, a week after the initial launch.
Over on eBay, one can find various listings for the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, but these are mostly scalper listings. The CPU retails for $479 US officially (MSRP) but on eBay, individuals have listed the same chip at prices around $700 US+. We would suggest avoiding these and waiting for retailers to get stocked up. The $700 US+ price makes no sense for the 9800X3D.
There's no doubt that the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU will see massive demand from the gaming segment, but at the same time, it looks like most PC builders will have to wait till the chips get re-stocked at their closest retailer. As always, make sure that you are paying the official MSRP prices for your hardware components.
