AMD Ryzen 5 9500F Now Available Globably: Also Silently Intros Ryzen 5 7400 & 7400F But Availability Only Through OEM,

AMD Ryzen 5 7500F desktop CPU has garnered immense interest, particularly in the budget AM5 segment, due to its attractive pricing. The official product page of the chip officially confirmed the CPU was designed for global audiences but there seems to be a catch.

AMD Ryzen 5 7500F Is A Great Budget CPU For The AM5 Platform But Many Consumers Will Be Unable To Find It In the DIY Segment

Initial doubts of a confined launch initially surfaced when the CPU debuted in China with press releases in Chinese. This made consumers doubtful about a global launch however, AMD has now confirmed that the Ryzen 5 7500F will indeed launch globally in a statement to HardwareLuxx (via Andreas Schilling).

Although the global launch is appreciable, one important aspect to highlight is that the CPU won't be available in retail channels rather, it will be accessible from select system builders (or custom PC builders). You shouldn't worry too much since the CPU will be directly accessible at some point; but initially, it will be challenging to acquire.

Coming to the specifications, the AMD Ryzen 5 7500F Desktop CPU comes with 6 cores based on the Zen 4 core architecture, 12 threads, 6 MB of L2 cache, & 32 MB of L3 cache. The CPU is clocked at 3.7 GHz base and 5.0 GHz boost, which is 100 MHz slower than the Ryzen 5 7600 and retains the 65 Watt TDP design.

However, a disappointing fact about the launch is that it won't include an iGPU. Since it is a budget-oriented launch, this move by AMD was obvious. In terms of overall performance, the AMD Ryzen 5 7500F performs almost identically to the Ryzen 5 7600 and even closes up to the Ryzen 5 7600X. It'll launch at $179, which is a great price mark for such a CPU. It gives tough competition to Intel's Core i5-13400 which currently retails around the $200 US price bracket. The chip equipped with a decent discrete graphics card will surely make for a great budget PC build, and allow more users to move to the newer AM5 platform.
