It might not be the most powerful GPU on the planet, but it's certainly the most powerful for under $600.
PowerColor Hellhound Radeon RX 9070 16 GB Listed at $586 at a Time When the GPUs are Selling for 20% Higher Price
The Radeon RX 9070 might be 10-15% slower than its XT variant, but its usual selling price is way better. While the Radeon RX 9070 XT continues to sell for over $700 in most regions, the RX 9070 can be found for around $600-$650. Of course, some editions sell for nearly $700, but it's hard to find an RX 9070 for less than $600. The RX 9070 is priced at $549, but with the current inflation, the GPU is hardly selling for this price.
The RX 9070 XT is just $50 more expensive, but still sells for $100-$200 more. Therefore, buying an RX 9070 for around $600-$650 more sense. However, the PowerColor Hellhound RX 9070 edition just dropped below $600 after a long time. It might be the only time we saw it under $600 this year. Thanks to RAMpocalypse, the RX 9070 is hard to find at this price, but the Hellhound edition is still in stock and selling well on Amazon US.
At the moment, it's listed at $586, which is a great price, considering that most GPUs are selling for 20-30% higher prices. The Radeon RX 9070 is an exceptionally well performer at both 1080p and 1440p. With 16 GB of VRAM, the GPU can handle high-resolution textures and demanding graphical presets without significant memory bottlenecks, and its larger shader count helps render frames more efficiently.
The RX 9070 has several benefits over the GeForce RTX 5070 at a sub-$600 price tag. Considering, you will have additional 4 GB VRAM for a noticeably lower price, we think this is the best time to buy the RX 9070 before the prices climb back to $600+. Just make sure you have a good power supply to feed it, and a powerful mid-range CPU to boost the frames.
