AMD's Ryzen CPUs have become the top choice amongst gamers at Microcenter, while its Radeon GPUs see strong sales.

AMD Ryzen CPUs & Radeon GPUs Become The Top Choices For Gamers At Microcenter

The Ryzen CPU family is the most successful processor lineup that has continued to shatter sales records at major retail outlets. AMD Ryzen CPUs dominate top US retailers such as Amazon and Newegg. Now, based on the latest stats, they are also claiming top spots at Microcenter.

Now, Microcenter's CEO, Rick Machad, has confirmed that AMD's Ryzen CPUs hold a leading position in gaming desktop CPUs at Microcenter. The X3D lineup, in particular, continues to see strong sales among gamers, as the competition has fallen behind drastically. Among the top 10 most popular CPUs, eight are AMD Ryzen chips:

AMD's success with its Ryzen CPU portfolio is deeply rooted in its client strategy. The company hasn't just dished out brand-new chips with higher performance capabilities, new architectures, and better efficiency; the company has also remained committed to its older platforms with Ryzen CPU refreshes, which continue to roll out even in 2026.

AMD has already committed to a 2029+ AM5 longevity plan, and we expect to see many more chips in the coming years, offering increased value to gamers and regular users.

Today, AMD holds a leading position in gaming desktop CPUs at Micro Centre. That leadership position reflects years of innovation with Ryzen, the strength of the X3D portfolio, and the confidence our associates have when recommending AMD to enthusiasts who demand ultimate performance. We're seeing similar momentum with Radeon. We launched the RX 9070 XT.

It was one of the most exciting product launches we've seen in years. Customers showed up in full force, and demand exceeded even our highest expectations. And that momentum hasn't let up, as we are seeing approximately one out of every three desktop graphics cards we sell in gaming are now AMD-based. What we're seeing is simple.

When customers experience the full AMD platform, Ryzen and Radeon together, they recognise the performance, value, and innovation AMD brings to the table.

Interestingly, Microcenter also highlights the strong performance of AMD's Radeon GPUs. The recent launches, such as the Radeon RX 9000 series, especially the 9070 XT, have seen a stronger momentum. The retailer states that one out of every three desktop graphics cards is now AMD-based.

The Radeon RX 9000 series offers better value and performance than the RTX 50 series. Although GPUs are currently affected by rising memory prices, AMD has still retained lower prices across its new lineup. AMD Radeon gaming graphics cards are expected to see a price hike in the coming months, but that is something that AMD has no control over since the DRAM is produced by other manufacturers.

AMD has also said that they are hoping to pull off a "Ryzen Moment" after a few generations. The company has intentions to make Radeon the best platform for gaming, and they have found a big success on the console side with its custom-silicon strategy and rapid improvement in software technologies by partnering with Sony and Microsoft.

Both Ryzen and Radeon teams continue to deliver strong products in their respective lineups, and with competition heating up in the coming years, we will see even better products from each camp.
