Last week, we reported that AMD's flagship FX Vishera would cost under $200 US well it looks like the reports were correct as AMD's official MSRP for the FX-8350 has been confirmed at $195 US.

AMD FX-8350 and the Vishera Lineup:

That's a damn good price for an eight core CPU which runs at 4.0 GHz stock and 4.2 GHz Turbo Core frequency featuring 125W TDP and 16 MB total Cache (L3 and L2 combined). Not only this but the whole FX Vishera CPU lineup which would be launching today is priced much lower than its Intel counterparts, take a look at the prices yourself:

  • AMD FX-8350 - $195 US (Rival to i5-3570K $235)
  • AMD FX-8320 - $169 US (Rival to i5-3450  $195)
  • AMD FX-6300 - $132 US (Rival to i5-2300  $187)
  • AMD FX-4300 - $122 US (Rival to i3-2120  $125)

Each CPU has a Turbo Frequency ranging in the 4.0 GHz region which makes them a perfect choice for gamers and enthusiasts alike also the overclocking abilities of the Piledriver cores are looking quite good at the moment with early reviews showing 5 GHz overclocks with only a minor voltage adjustments.

The FX-8350 along with the complete FX-Vishera CPU lineup would launch today in a few hours, expect retail availability shortly along with the launch of new AM3+ motherboards from board partners since the CPUs are compatible with the same socket.
