[Update]: Uniko's Hardware, a renowned media outlet, has also confirmed the early March timeline for the release of the RX 9070 series GPUs, but they have pinpointed the exact date, saying that we should expect the SKUs to launch by March 6.

Today, we received the latest news that it will be available in early March. The actual date for the public release of performance is still unknown. I have heard various dates before, including January 23 and March 23. This time the news was obtained through a reliable person (anonymous), and the official lifting of the ban may be close to the beginning of March.

AMD's Radeon RX 9070 series launch was a rollercoaster ride, especially regarding the assumed dates on which the lineup was expected to be unveiled. Initially, it was claimed that AMD would showcase the SKUs slightly after the launch of NVIDIA's RTX Blackwell GPUs, but later on, Team Red confirmed that the schedule had been pushed ahead. Now, in the recent Q4 2024 earnings call, Lisa Su has finally put all the rumors in the dust, confirming an early March launch for the RDNA 4 GPU lineup.

In Gaming Graphics, revenue declined year over year, as we accelerated channel sellout in preparation for the launch of our next-gen Radeon 9000 series GPUs.

Our focus with this generation is to address the highest volume portion of the enthusiast gaming market with our new RDNA 4 architecture. RDNA 4 delivers significantly better rate tracing performance and add support for AI-powered upscaling technology that will bring high-quality 4K gaming to mainstream players when the first Radeon 9070 series GPUs go on sale in early March.

So, you might be confused about how the RX 9070 series lineup will be out, considering that the late February and early March timeline is all over the internet.

Based on what we know, Team Red plans to hold a dedicated event to feature AMD's RDNA 4 lineup by the end of February, with the initial batch of SKUs hitting the retail markets by the start of March. Team Red is expected to showcase two graphics cards based on the RDNA 4 architecture, the Radeon RX 9070 XT and the Radeon RX 9070, which have already been covered extensively.

Apart from this, we do expect AMD's RX 9070 series to feature inventory levels way higher than what NVIDIA's RTX 50 series came with, as since Team Red's focus is on the "highest volume portion" of the markets, SKU availability will undoubtedly be pretty ample, but despite this, if AMD manages to nail the release, we still expect demand to outpace the supply in the initial days, following the launch.
