Today, NC America confirmed that the MMORPG AION 2 will launch later this year globally, following its original debut in South Korea on November 19, 2025.
That version was made for mobile and accessible on PC only via NC's own Purple launcher. However, the global version has been built specifically for PC, according to the new press release, and it will also be distributed via Steam. In fact, you can already wishlist the game on Valve's store.
The global servers will be hosted locally in North America, South America, Europe, and Japan, providing a latency-conscious gameplay experience for many users. AION 2 will also be localized into 10 languages that players can choose from in-game: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
The Steam page also includes AION 2's minimum and recommended system requirements, which you can find in the table below.

Seunguk Baek, Chief Business Officer at NC, said in a statement:
AION 2 has continuously updated its content and services, listening closely to the community to elevate the player experience. We want to bring that same level of dedication, community responsiveness, and gameplay quality to players around the world.
The game is set on Atreia 200 years after the original and features a world 36 times larger than its predecessor. Just like in the original, the defining pillar is aerial combat: every zone and PvP encounter is designed around flight, not just flight as a travel option.
Eight classes cover the full Holy Trinity (Cleric, Templar, Gladiator, Ranger, Assassin, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Chanter), with no auto-combat and a manual dodge/chain skill system throughout.
Content spans over 200 dungeons in solo, 4-player, 8-player, and 200-player raid formats, plus an Abyss open world with large-scale Elyos vs. Asmodian faction PvP, arenas, and 3D aerial battlegrounds.
By the way, we recently interviewed NC America CEO Jeonghee “JJ” Jin about AION 2 and other upcoming games from the publisher, like Horizon Steel Frontiers and Cinder City. Check out the exclusive Q&A at this link.
