An entry-level RDNA 3 GPU is likely to get a release as AIDA64 Extreme adds support for the NAVI 33 GPU. The new Battlemage GPU with the BMG-G31 chip is also arriving.

AIDA64 Extreme Version 7.99.7817 Confirms Radeon RX 7400 with Navi 33 and Intel's Upcoming BMG-G31-Based Battlemage GPU

The popular hardware monitoring tool AIDA64 has added a couple of new components to its database. It should be no surprise to hear about the upcoming Intel Battlemage GPU, but it's the second time the software has added yet another entry-level RDNA 3 GPU to its support list.

The latest beta version 7.99.7817 was just released, and its release notes reveal that the software will now support the AMD Radeon RX 7400 GPU. This GPU hasn't been announced by AMD yet, but we did report on it a few times before. It has been roughly a year since we heard about the entry-level RX 7000 GPUs, like the Radeon RX 7400 and RX 7300. One of the previous versions of the AIDA64 Extreme already added the RX 7300, but the RX 7400 is the latest addition to the list.

The release notes clearly reveal that the GPU will be based on the NAVI 33 die, and there will be another GPU based on this die, but it will be for the professional segment. This is the Radeon PRO W7400, which is going to be an entry-level GPU for workstations. Another GPU added to the AIDA64 Extreme is the Intel Battlemage "BMG-G31". This is rumoredly going to power the Arc B770, which has been in the talks recently.

The Arc B770 is expected to bring 24-32 Xe2 cores and 16 GB GDDR6 memory through a 256-bit memory bus. A new addition to the PCI-SIG hinted at this GPU, which will be the first Battlemage card to feature a PCIe 5.0 x16 interface. That said, the latest AIDA64 Extreme software has also added support for the PCIe 7.0 controllers and devices. You won't likely see PCIe 7.0 devices anytime soon since the standard will complete its pre-FY testing in 2027 and will get its place on the integrator list in 2028. It will take several more years to see actual hardware being deployed with this interface since the market hasn't even transitioned properly to PCIe 5.0 and PCIe 6.0 devices, such as SSDs, won't likely come before 2030.

The addition of such hardware to AIDA64 doesn't necessarily mean that they are getting a release soon. GPUs added to the AIDA64 usually take around a year to get an official release. However, the RX 7400 and RX 7300 might be released sooner, and so should the BMG-G31.
