To say that the $TRUMP meme coin launch constituted one of the most influential financial events so far this year would be an understatement. After all, with its fully-diluted market cap now eclipsing $70 billion, the $TRUMP coin is currently in the same valuation league as established US corporations such as Coinbase and FedEx.

What's more, with nearly 48 hours still remaining until markets open in the US after Monday's holiday, there is no telling what lofty heights the $TRUMP meme coin might yet scale as retail traders presumably remain fixated with nary a distraction.

Meanwhile, crypto exchanges are moving swiftly to capture the current mania around the president-elect's meme coin. To wit, BingX, which was one of the first crypto exchanges to enable trading for the $TRUMP coin, is now opening up $TRUMP coin-margined futures trading, allowing the use of the meme coin as margin for futures trading on the platform.

For the benefit of those who might not be aware, the $TRUMP meme coin offers no utility other than bringing together like-minded traders and investors to foster a community premised on the incoming US president's star power.

200 million $TRUMP meme coins are available for trading at the moment. Over the next three years, this supply will grow to 1 billion coins. Do note that this unreleased supply is currently being held by an affiliate of the Trump Organization, CIC Digital LLC, in conjunction with a Delaware-based, Trump-linked company, Fight Fight Fight LLC.

As we noted in a recent post, the $TRUMP meme coin is not the president-elect's first foray into the nascent crypto sphere. Back in October, the Trump family endorsed a crypto DeFi platform, dubbed World Liberty Financial. In return, the family stands to gain hefty fees from the sale of $WLFI tokens.

Of course, Trump has also been dabbling in NFTs. Nonetheless, the scale and ferocity of the $TRUMP meme coin's rise seems to have taken almost everyone by surprise.
