In keeping with its prevailing tradition of announcing any and all updates to its product lineup via a dedicated press release, Trump Media and Technology Group (NASDAQ: DJT) - the operator of Truth Social platform, the Truth+ content streaming service, and a number of upcoming Truth Social-branded ETFs and SMAs under its Truth.Fi brand - has now revealed upgraded bells and whistles under its Patriot subscription package.
To wit, subscribers to the $9.99 per month Patriot package on Truth Social will now be able to edit posts (called Truths) on the social media platform, access draft Truths from various linked devices, and convert the gems earned by participating in various activities on the platform to the Cronos (CRO) coins via Crypto.com's digital wallet infrastructure.
This comes as Trump Media and Technology Group recently elevated the status of the Cronos (CRO) coin to a utility token of sorts across the various Truth Social platforms. To do so, the company plans to purchase $105 million worth of CRO tokens. In return, Crypto.com will buy $55 million worth of Trump Media shares.
Separately, Trump Media and Technology Group has partnered with Yorkville Acquisition Corp. and Crypto.com to create via the SPAC route a $6.4 billion CRO coin-focused digital asset treasury company, called Trump Media Group CRO Strategy.
The new company will be capitalized with CRO coins worth $1 billion, which represents around 19 percent of the coin's total market capitalization, as well as $200 million in cash, $220 million in mandatory exercise warrants, and a $5 billion equity line of credit from Yorkville affiliate YA II PN, Ltd.
Coming back, the Patriot package upgrade also brings with it enhanced Truth Search AI functionality to incorporate conversation history.
Bear in mind that Trump Media had announced back in July that it was actively seeking to integrate AI functionality within its bespoke social media platform, as it continues to develop "the Truth Social ecosphere as a one-stop-shop for reliable information, non-woke news, and entertainment."
Do note that Trump Media and Technology Group generated just $821,000 in revenue during Q1 2025, incurring a loss of $30 million in the process.
