During the Xbox Partner Preview broadcast, Turkish developer Permanent Way Entertainment and US based publisher Midwest Games announced The Legend of Baboo, a new action/adventure game that will launch in 2025 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S and X.
Inspired by Turkish fables passed down through generations, The Legend of Baboo promises to take players on a harrowing quest to save a young boy's family from the mystical forces of an ancient evil. Throughout this journey, players will control both the young protagonist Sepehr and his lovable dog, Baboo, using the power of their bond to save the people and place they love most.
Use Sepehr's magic staff and Baboo's claws and super bark to fight off demonic invaders, including otherworldly boss fights. Players will swing, jump, climb, and ride Baboo through enchanted and breathtaking locations. There will also be puzzles to solve and challenges to go through across dark forests, raging waters, cursed wilds, and frozen lands.
According to Permanent Way Entertainment, these are the key features of The Legend of Baboo:
- Become a legend: Both Sepehr and Baboo have an RPG-inspired skill tree to boost their offensive and defensive abilities in battle, as well as unlock skills.
- The Best Boy: Customize Baboo with various outfits and ornaments earned throughout your journey to make your faithful companion look his best!
- Embrace the Magic: Defeat bosses to unlock special magical attacks that consume mana but take down large hordes of enemies. Equip your favorite special attacks to create a build that suits your play style.
- It's your story: Play at the difficulty level that suits you best: easy, medium, or hard mode.
