Acer Launches Five New High-End Gaming Monitors With Up To 5K Resolution, Including Its Fastest Predator X27U F8 OLED QHD Monitor That Can Boost up to 540Hz and Up to 720Hz at 720p

Popular hardware and perihperal manufacturer, Acer, announced new products at IFA, Berlin, including new monitor models for its existing Nitro and Predator series. Starting with the Nitro Series, it will feature four new models, equipped with either 27-inch or 40-inch displays, and available with either IPS or VA panels. The Nitro XV275K V6 is a 27-inch monitor, boasting 4K resolution and up to 180Hz of refresh rate, providing sharp details with fluid gaming experience. The I/O includes 2x HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4, both of which can support 4K@180Hz output but with DFR (Dynamic Frequency Resolution) support, the monitor can support 1080p@360Hz as well. With peak brightness of 600 Nits in SDR mode and up to 1000 Nits in HDR mode, it's one of the brightest 4K IPS gaming monitors to have on your desk.

For users on a budget, the Nitro XV273U W1 will be a decent option, offering 2560x1440p resolution on a 27-inch IPS screen. The monitor can run at 240Hz at QHD resolution out of the box, but can overclock to 275Hz, bringing even smoother visuals. Similar to the 4K model, it boasts a standard contrast of 1000:1, but covers 95% of DCI-P3 color gamut for vibrant images. Brightness is lower than the 4K model, but with 400 nits in SDR and 500 nits in HDR mode, it's still sufficiently high for well-lit rooms.

Next we have the Nitro XV270X, which is 5K (5120x2880) display with up to 72Hz refresh rate. With DFR mode, it can switch to QHD@144Hz and can serve as a good gaming monitor. It's ideal for content creators, but will be equally good for watching high-resolution content due to featuring high pixel density and a better contrast of 2000:1. However, those who want the same resolution but a higher refresh rate can opt for the Nitro XZ403CKR, which boast a large 40-inch VA screen and can run at up to 180Hz.

Through DFR, users can switch to 2560x1080p@288Hz mode for more fluidity and enjoy immersive gaming via the 1000R curved display. On the high-end side, Acer launched the fastest OLED QHD gaming monitor called X27U F8, which boasts 540Hz of refresh rate.

With DFR, users can switch to the 720p@720Hz mode, which is exactly what LG brought a few weeks ago. The monitor offers a 99% DCI-P3 color gamut, VESA DisplayHDR500 certification, and color accuracy of Delta E < 1.
