Acer's Predator Z57 Monitor Intends To Shake Up The Ultra-Wide Segment, Gets A 20% Price Drop Ahead of Launch

Acer's Predator Z57 monitor was a highlight of the firm's CES 2024 experience, and the gigantic look, coupled with the onboard features, has made the Z57 a highly-awaiting option among consumers. Interestingly, Acer has decided to become more competitive with its upcoming ultra-wide release, slashing the price of the Predator Z57 from $2,499 to $1,999.99, marking almost a $500 drop, which is quite impressive considering that price-to-performance ratio you are getting here, and this move is certainly going to make the Predator Z57 a much more compelling offer in the markets.

Moving on to the specifications, the LG Predator Z57 monitor has a 57-inch ultra-wide screen with a Dual UHD resolution of 7680 x 2160 pixels. The curved panel also has a curvature rating of 1000R and a 32:9 aspect ratio. The monitor has an impressive Mini-LED display with 2,304 local dimming zones to ensure the best quality output since the panel isn't tiny.

Moreover, the Acer Predator Z57 monitor has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, not too high but right in the optimal zone. For certifications, the monitor comes with VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification, and to top it all off, DCI-P3's 98% color gamut rating also provides a crisp quality option to its users.

Acer has yet to reveal the complete specifications of the Predator Z57, and neither of us is aware of a release date. The drop in US pricing is certainly a plus for consumers in the region, but it isn't confirmed whether the discount also applies to EU markets. Given that the monitor has debuted on multiple marketplaces, we expect further details to be unveiled soon.
