A new report suggests that Google managed to ship around 10 million Pixel phones in 2023, and the company plans to repeat the same milestone this year. As someone who has been thinking about getting a new Pixel device, I really want Google to defy expectations and go even further.

Google shipping 10 million Pixel units is a good thing, but the company does not want to stop there

The publication cites a source that claims that the search engine giant has managed to hit a milestone in 2023 by shipping around 10 million Pixel phones. In order to honor that, it is also looking to keep the upward trajectory going. To my surprise, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro managed to make up the bulk of the shipment, but no breakdown is available at the time of writing. It is still impressive that people are more invested in different phones than before.

I do understand that Pixel 6, the phone that started a soft reboot of the series, was not as good as some had hoped, and the phone even had some issues with the thermals. The Pixel 7 series was really good, but Google knocked it out of the park with a successor because even though it has been months since it came out, I still want to get my hands on the device.

I have been following the Pixel series ever since Google decided to rebrand it from Nexus. Honestly, I was not a fan in the start, but after going through a soft reboot, the company has come out really well in terms of the products they offer. So much so that I want the future devices to be really, really good in terms of performance and hardware.

Sure, there is no denying that Google has been focusing on AI-based prowess more than raw hardware, but if it has been working for the company so far, then I don't really think there can be an issue in the process. The point here is that if you are looking for a solid Android experience, the Pixel phones are unrivaled, and considering Google's ambition, this will only get better as time progresses.
