Escalation will mark the second in the series of DLC map packs for Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops, after the successful sale of "First Strike" on XBL, PSN and Steam (PC) Treyarch is planning on succeeding the map pack with a new series of maps which features 5 maps, 4 of them are community maps while the 5th will be a zombies map named "Survive" according to the leaked details on the DLC
It's good to see that a new map pack is on the way and that the community maps keep getting better and better, but I should think this is the last map pack because with E3 coming up an announcement for a new CoD game is imminent and with the release of Battlefield 3 you can rest assured that there definitely will be a CoD game to compete against EA this year.
I for one look forward to seeing whether Battlefield 3 will have what it takes to dethrone Call of Duty off the throne in terms of active players.
