A The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild CEMU multiplayer appears to be in the works, which allows 2 players to side-by-side.

Several screenshots of the CEMU modification were posted on the REGN8 Discord server by user ‘Fooni’. The mod works locally for 2 people to play side-by-side, and works by changing the location of an NPC and model swapping. You can check out some screenshots from the mod down below:

Don’t expect the CEMU modification to be playable soon as the development team has stated that it will likely take them at least a year to finish or deliver it in a playable state.

CEMU, the Wii U PC emulator, allows players to play Wii U games on their PC, including the recently released The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
