The latest buzz has been around Samsung's recently launched Galaxy S25 series for the new design, AI features, and other upgrades. The South Korean tech giant went for Snapdragon 8 Elite to power its latest lineup, which brought forth a major improvement in performance. The upgrade in the RAM storage also marked a notable improvement. But it looks like that is about to change as a new leak confirms that the upcoming Xiaomi 15 will be coming with a better offering and is said to come on par with the standards of Pixel 9 Pro and OnePlus13.
The upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra's leak gives away the color and storage options for the model
While Samsung pioneered the foldable category and was dominating the market for quite some time, last year was not the company's optimal as Chinese companies such as Honor, Xiaomi, and Oppo gave the company a hard time and even shook up the South Korean tech giant's position. Samsung promised with its Galaxy S25 series that it would be offering major upgrades, and it seemed like this would be the company's comeback, but there is reportedly more competition waiting for it even on this front.
As per the leak shared by 91mobiles, the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra's global model's colors and storage options have been revealed. The phone is said to be available in three color options, black, white, and silver, which is an improvement in the array of choices compared to its predecessor. Now, when it comes to storage options, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is reportedly going to be available in 16GB + 512GB of storage, similar to its predecessor's offerings.
However, if we draw a comparison between Xiaomi's upcoming Ultra model and Galaxy S25 Ultra, the latter comes with 12GB of RAM and its 16GB variant is only available for Samsung's domestic market. Xiaomi seems to match the storage standard offered by other premium phone brands, such as Pixel 9 Pro and OnePlus13. The reason why an increase in storage options is vital is because of the enhanced performance it brings about. The phone's ability to handle multiple tasks also improves, and overall faster processing is achieved. However, the 512GB of internal storage for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is a little underwhelming compared to the 1TB option for the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to be released next month in China and hit the global markets. Similar to its predecessor, it could be announced at the MWC 2025.
