Once considered 'the best deal in gaming,' Microsoft's subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, is used by millions of players each day due to its truly vast library of titles you can play on your PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, or any device with the Xbox Game Pass app and a WiFi connection through Cloud Streaming.

This hub will take you through everything you need to know about with regards to Game Pass, including the current pricing and tier structure, and every game currently available in the service, broken down by which games are available for players at the Essential, Premium, and Ultimate tiers.

Game Pass Tiers (Pricing, Features)

NOTE: All prices are in USD, pricing may vary based on your region. We will continue to update this list as new games are added to the service and games are removed.

Game Pass Essential - $9.99/month

Starting with the lowest tier, Game Pass Essential is your foot in the door with spending as little as possible on the subscription. At just $9.99/month, a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Essential gets you:

One thing to note about the Essential tier and its 'library of 50+ games,' which Microsoft touts on its website, is that several of the titles it includes as part of the library you get with Game Pass Essential are free-to-play games.

If you're a console player, technically, these games would be unavailable to you without a Game Pass Essential subscription, because they all require online multiplayer, something that is paywalled on consoles - but not on PC. It's also worth noting that while you can stream games through Xbox Cloud gaming wherever you want, for as long as you want, Essential subscribers get the worst possible experience with the longest wait times. Every rung up the subscription ladder you go gets you better streaming capabilities.

Game Pass Premium - $14.99/month

Game Pass Premium is one rung above Essential, and is technically the middle tier. For an extra $5 per month at $14.99/month, a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Premium gets you:

If the current pricing structure wasn't a massive increase compared to what we had for years, Game Pass Premium might actually feel like a good deal.

Game Pass Ultimate - $22.99/month

Game Pass Ultimate is the most expensive, top-tier in Microsoft's subscription service. This is for all the marbles, all the bells and whistles you could want, but most importantly, for the day-one releases of brand new Xbox published games.

For what was once double the price of Game Pass Premium but is now a much more reasonable eight-dollar price jump, a $22.99/month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate gets you:

PC Game Pass - $13.99/month

Last but most certainly not least, because it is arguably the best deal among all of the Game Pass tiers, is PC Game Pass. Whether you have an Xbox console or not, if you have a gaming-capable PC and you've moved to becoming a full-time PC gamer (if you weren't one already) then PC Game Pass is the way to go.

It is a PC-only tier, and for a little less than what you'd pay for Game Pass Premium, you get:

Out of all the tiers, this is easily the best deal since the last Game Pass price hike. It's arguably the last element of Game Pass that you could say harkens back to the idea of the subscription being 'the best deal in gaming,' which also means it'll almost certainly be made worse at some point in the near future.

Xbox Game Pass Games (by Tier)

NOTE: All games listed are included as of May 2026. Xbox Game Pass receives new games every month, and we will continue to update this article as new games enter the service and old ones leave. All titles available on Xbox consoles and PC unless otherwise indicated. The most recent reveal of new Game Pass games will be linked below and updated regularly.

To avoid making this page too hard to scroll through, we'll list only titles exclusive to that subscription tier, so we don't repeat certain games.

So the Game Pass Premium list will include only games not available in Essential, and the Game Pass Ultimate list will include only games not available in Premium. If you pay for Game Pass Premium, you get every game listed in Essential, and if you pay for Game Pass Ultimate, you get every game listed in Essential and Premium.

That's why the Game Pass Ultimate section is not automatically the longest list (that's Game Pass Premium), even though it actually has the most games.
