WhatsApp Chat and Data Transfer From Android to iPhone

WhatsApp is easily one of the most popular instant messaging apps, and it is continuously improving as time goes by. We use the app almost daily in our personal and professional lives, and the service even has two distinct versions for personal and business needs. Now, it appears that the company is working on a new feature that would let you have an alternate profile on a single account so you can switch between the profiles you are going to use.

WhatsApp is slowly becoming a lot more intuitive, with new features being added for both Android and iOS versions

Earlier today, the feature was spotted, and based on the screenshot below, you can see that WhatsApp will let you add an alternate profile.

With the new alternate profile feature, the users will be able to have a restricted profile that is only visible to their contacts while displaying an alternative name as well as a photo for other WhatsApp users. The feature will also help users protect their alternate profile, especially if you are getting in touch with people who are not from your circle, and most conversations are one-time between you and these contacts.

The feature is currently being tested on WhatsApp beta version and is not available on the stable channel. In addition to that, WhatsApp is also testing another feature that will let you have up to 31 participants in group video calls. Previously, group video calls supported 32 maximum participants, but you could only select 15 participants at the start to initiate a group call. This meant that you needed to start a call with a few people and then add more people to the call separately. The new change will ensure that you can just start the video call with up to 31 participants from the start. The feature is currently available only for iOS users, but Android users should be able to access it soon.

I like how WhatsApp is slowly adding features that are new and improved for a better quality of life. Sure, it is not as fast as some of the contemporaries in terms of adding features, but all the features we are getting are pretty good, to say the least, and work really well.
