Digital Extremes has revealed that the next major free update for Warframe titled "The Shadowgrapher" will arrive later this month on March 25, 2026. Which, is also the same day that Warframe will make its debut on another platform, following its arrival on Android devices last month. The official Nintendo Switch 2 version of Warframe will launch alongside the Shadowgrapher update on March 25.
The news was revealed in the studio's latest DevStream with its 193rd installment, teasing a bit of what's to come in the Shadowgrapher, and showing off the game's 64th playable Warframe, Follie, along with her abilities and a special showcase of an upcoming co-op survival horror mode titled Follie's Hunt.
"The Old Peace was the most successful update we've ever released," said Megan Everett, community director at Digital Extremes, "and we've had such a blast watching our community create some iconic moments together these past few months. That comes with a lot of feedback, which has always been our north star. The Shadowgrapher introduces some eerily excellent new content, but it's also full of some essential overhauls to continue refining Warframe's overall quality of life."
"Clans have a smorgasbord of new features, an early Quest had a graphical facelift, and we will officially be on the Nintendo Switch 2 soon! Thank you to all our players for sticking with us. We have a stellar year in store for you."
The Follie's Hunt co-op mode will see players work together in teams of four against one strong antagonist, which is essentially a Warframe-take on asymmetrical horror games like Dead by Daylight. In this case, Follie will be the antagonist, and players will have to adapt and react quickly, while Follie gets stronger and more difficult to defeat the longer a match goes on.
Digital Extremes also reiterated that tickets for its annual convention, TennoCon, are on sale now for those looking to head to London, Ontario, this summer.
