Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage Closed Beta Set for September 10

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. closed beta test on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam from September 10-15, register now.

SEGA has shared details on the upcoming Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage Closed Beta. The test will take place between Wednesday, September 10 (8 PM Pacific Time) and Monday, September 15 (7:59 PM Pacific Time).

Interested console players will have to register via the SEGA website (and create an account if they don't already have one), while PC players can just request access via the dedicated button on the Steam page.

The Virtual Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage Closed Beta Test will feature the following Game Modes:

Playable Characters

The entire base roster of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage will be playable during the Closed Beta Test. The upcoming DLC character, Dural, will not be playable during the Closed Beta Test.

This new version of SEGA's fighting game adds cross-play, rollback support, improvements to the training mode and a single-player mode called World Stage where players challenge powerful rivals on a solo mission to become the ultimate fighter, unlocking customization items along the way. PC owners of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. will get the opportunity to upgrade to World Stage for free, whereas owners of Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown on PS4 can upgrade to the new PS5 version for $9.99. New players will have to pay $19.99 to get the game. The full launch is set for October 30 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. A Nintendo Switch 2 version will be released at a later time.

In other Virtua Fighter news, SEGA recently showed a new training stage trailer at EVO 2025. More footage and details could be shared during the next RGG Summit/RGG Direct, scheduled for September 23.
