The Galaxy S24 hype train is going as strong as it was a few days ago. After the official announcement, we managed to find out a lot of details about the new phones. Now, the one thing that Samsung did not reveal during the Unpacked event is the chipset availability specific to regions. If you are looking to upgrade to a new device, you might want to find out what you will be getting beforehand.
Both the Exynos 2400 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy on the Galaxy S24 series are worthy choices this time around.
Now, for the most part, the Galaxy S24 series looks like it is a home run. The Exynos 2400 is supposedly performing adequately, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has already been tried and tested. I praised the chipset when I reviewed the Redmagic 9 Pro, so I doubt that things are much different this time around.
If you are looking to get your hands on the Galaxy S24 Ulta, you are going to get access to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy in all the regions around the world. If you have been making an active effort to stay away from Exynos, this is good news for you since you will only get Qualcomm's offering.
However, things are slightly different for the Galaxy S24 and the Plus variant. The Plus variant is going to get access to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in several regions, including the U.S., China, South Korea, and perhaps a couple more, which is not known at the time of writing. However, once Samsung does give us an update, you will be able to get the news from us. As far as non-U.S. regions are concerned, like Europe, the U.K., India, Dubai, and more, Samsung will be offering the phones in Exynos 2400 offering.
Based on all the information we have received on the Exynos 2400 so far, it appears that the chipset is performing better than expected and, in some cases, even outshining the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy. Of course, it is too early to say much, but I have a strange optimism that tells me that it will be fine with Samsung's new in-house chip. Of course, once the phones are out in the wild, you can start expecting more details that will help paint a clearer picture, and we will be there to keep you posted.
