It's been a while since we heard anything about Ghost Recon Wildlands. With E3 2016 approaching, Ubisoft shared a brand new trailer (embedded below) and the first pre-order details.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is being described as a military shooter set in a "massive and responsive" world that can be played either in single-player o up to four player co-op. The game takes place in the near future's Bolivia, which in the fiction has been transformed into a narco-state by the Santa Blanca drug cartel.

The Ghosts's objective will be to cripple their operation, breaking the alliance with other drug lords and the corrupt government and thus saving the civilian population from Santa Blanca's ruthless leader El Sueño. There will be complete freedom to approach missions and the Ghost's actions will have specific consequences in the game world.

Eric Couzian, Creative Director on Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, said:

As part of the Tom Clancy franchise, authenticity is one of the key pillars which will bring the Wildlands to life in our latest instalment in the franchise. Our goal has been to build the Ghosts as credible Spec Ops, so players have a range of options in facing not only the deadly cartels, but also the roughness of the multifaceted Bolivian landscape. Ghosts are survivors and hunters, they can blend in all sorts of environments, leaving no trace except in the heads of their terrified enemies. We want players to feel this power.

In addition to the standard game, the following premium editions will be available. Also, everyone who pre-orders Ghost Recon Wildlands will receive The Peruvian Connection”, a bonus mission in which they will embark on a perilous journey through the high mountains of Bolivia to break the alliance between the Santa Blanca and the Peruvian Cartels.
