It has been years since Apple moved on from iOS 9 and the devices that run it. Now, Twitter has said that it is ending support for all devices running iOS 9 or lower. In the app's update text, it was reported that only users who are running iOS 10 will continue to receive updates and have a supported client for mobile. For instance, the iPhone 6 boasts merely 1GB of RAM while the latest iPhone X features 3GB. While the difference does not seem that big on paper but when it comes to adding new features, everything counts in terms of performance. Moreover, apps are being designed to take advantage of the latest technology. Since older firmware does not feature support new hardware makes it difficult for developers to innovate in a way that all devices get the new features.
