The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Immersion Pack by KWESTOREK, version 0.1, features a male character in armor beside a mythical creature.

Yes, people are very much still modding The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, even more so after CD Projekt RED released the REDkit mod tool last year. On the visual side, HalkHogan's The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition is pretty much a must, but even the experienced modder's latest release does not overhaul every single item in the big open world roleplaying game.

So, as is often the case, fellow modder kwest0rek stepped in to create 'The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Remastered - NextGen', which specifically targets 41 models that were untouched by HalkHogan's work, replacing them with completely new ones that also feature higher resolution textures. Here's a list of what's been retouched so far:

As you can see below, the improvement is rather noticeable.

In the comments section of the mod page, the modder said they'd focus on finishing the food models and then move on to remake models of dead NPCs and animals, which could also use some upgrading in The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, even in the Next-Gen Edition.

In other The Witcher news, CD Projekt RED recently hinted that the highly anticipated fourth mainline installment will take some cues from author Andrzej Sapkowski's latest novel, Crossroads of Ravens, which has just launched in its English translation. Meanwhile, the fourth season of the Netflix adaptation will start airing in October.
