Yesterday, ArenaNet released The Midnight King, the third and final free content update for Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure. The story continues right after the events narrated in the previous update, The Realm of Dreams, but there's much more.

With the launch of The Midnight King, Twitch drops are back in Guild Wars 2. Players have until May 26 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time to earn a Guild Wars 2 Classic Outfit Selection by watching any Twitch channel broadcasting Guild Wars 2 for 6 hours. The Classic Outfit Selection allows them to pick an outfit from a selection of classic heroes and villains.

ArenaNet has also recently shared a roadmap for what's coming after The Midnight King. In June, Guild Wars 2 players can look forward to the Dragon Bash Festival, the challenge mode for the new The Lonely Tower fractal dungeon, the always-on beta of the restructured World Versus World mode, a Skills and Balance update, and a Ranked PvP Rewards update. In July, ArenaNet has scheduled a ranked PvP quality of life update, a World versus World quality of life update, and the Festival of the Four Winds. Not long after, the studio will reveal the next Guild Wars 2 expansion slated to launch later this year.

As a reminder, parent company NCSoft kind of confirmed Guild Wars 3 to be in development.
