The Galaxy Z Flip 5 Leaked Specs Give Us a Glimpse of What to Expect From Samsung's Upcoming Clamshell Foldable

Earlier today, we finally got a confirmation about the Galaxy Unpacked. The rumors were indeed true, and the event is taking place next month in Seoul, South Korea. Just shortly after the official confirmation, we received a spec sheet pertinent to Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5, and based on the information, the upcoming clamshell foldable is definitely the device you should pick up if you are looking for something safe and powerful, at the same time.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is the safest foldable to get if you are looking for an excellent flagship experience at a lower cost

The spec sheet is coming from Yogesh Brar, a reliable tipster who's given us some insights in the past, as well. Now the information that Brar revealed does not really tell us anything that is new, considering how most of us already had a notion that Samsung is keeping the Galaxy Z Flip 5 as the safer option. Still, you can have a look at it below:

Now, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is going to bring a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and yes, these are the same specs that Samsung has been using for some time, but there is nothing wrong with it because you do improved panels under the hood. The outer display is the biggest change, as you are now getting a 3.4-inch HD AMOLED display that should be able to do some neat tricks and allow for a much better user experience.

On the inside, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is sporting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, don't worry, this is the same overclocked version that was found in the Galaxy S23 series, but since the exclusivity is no longer in place, it is no longer being called as Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy.

Furthermore, you are getting 8 gigs of RAM and a choice between 128 gigs and 256 gigs of storage, and 12+12-megapixel camera setup on the back, with a 3,700 mAh battery powering the device, and a 25-watt charging speed. Booting the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be Android 13 atop One UI 5.1, of course. And last but not least, the expected price of the device is $999, making it cheaper than Samsung's Galaxy S23 Ultra and almost $700 cheaper than the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Considering how the Galaxy Z Flip 5 specs have leaked, you should expect the same for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in a couple of hours, and we will be sure to keep you posted about what we hear. Until then, stay tuned.
