Apple launched the iPhone 17 lineup last week, and the devices have started building a reputation for themselves. Some like the new design and feature set, others not so much when it comes to visual appeal. Now, just days before the official release, images of the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro retail boxes have surfaced on X, thanks to T-Mobile President Jon Freier. The images show a clear look at how Apple is packaging and presenting its latest devices ahead of the official September 19 launch.
Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air packaging images emerge, emphasizing premium presentation and a unique slim profile design
Apple typically features the iPhone packaging in its standard environmental reports, but it did not show up this year. What this means is that, until now, users had no option to view the iPhone 17 boxes ahead of their release. While Apple’s iPhone Upgrade Program page also highlighted some visuals, the images did not provide a detailed look at the real thing.
The new packaging is as you would expect from Apple, with clean lines and simple graphics that instantly feel premium. Apple has always paid attention to the unboxing experience, which is why the box has been designed in a way to open slowly, kind of like pulling the sheet off of a shiny new car. As you can see, the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max feature the same kind of box with the picture of the device from the front. However, the same cannot be said about the iPhone Air.
The iPhone Air’s box is similar to the rest in terms of mechanics, shape, and material, but the image displayed on top of it is different. The iPhone Air’s main selling point is its thin design, and the company wants to brag about it as much as it can, which is why the image of the iPhone Air is displayed from the side, highlighting the thinness of the handset.
All in all, the boxes are pretty standard and in compliance with the company’s standards. For now, which iPhone 17 model did you opt for? Let us know in the comments.
