Paradox Interactive and Haemimont Games have announced Surviving Mars Relaunched during Gamescom 2025, a remaster of the original 2018 game coming soon to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

This new version adds "enhanced graphics, new UI, and new content never before seen in the original," according to a press release for the announcement. It also marks the original game's arrival on current-generation consoles, though there's no mention of a Nintendo Switch 2 version.

Surviving Mars Relaunched also introduces colony factions through "The Martian Assembly," giving players a new challenge as they attempt to shape their own society on the red planet. Relaunched also includes more expansive mod support to help players shape their experience even further.

If you never tried the 2018 original, then you can pick up this remaster for $39.99/£34.99/€39.99. Players who've already picked up the original however, can grab this new version at a discounted $19.99/£17.50/€19.99.

No specific release date, or even release window, was announced for Surviving Mars Relaunched, save for that it is "coming soon." Hopefully, we'll have a proper release date to look forward to in the near future.
