Romeo is a Dead Man

Suda51's studio, Grasshopper Manufacture, has announced its next game, Romeo is a Dead Man, during PlayStation's June 2025 State of Play event.

As you'd expect from Suda51, Romeo is a Dead Man looks like an action-packed adventure. The trailer shows that it's exactly the kind of game you'd expect from the person behind No More Heroes.

"Super bloody action, crazy twists and turns to blow players’ minds, and a whole mess of kinda-stereotypical gimmicks – all rolled into one wild ride," reads the PlayStation Blog post from the studio's community manager James Mountain.

The game stars Romeo Stargazer, who is stuck between life and death by being stuck in the middle of a time paradox. His special circumstances make him the perfect fit to be a FBI space-time agent, codenamed 'Dead Man,' fighting space-time criminals.

As if it should have been expected for a character called Romeo, the story leads you to search for your girlfriend, aptly named Juliet. Beyond that. there's not too much more we know about the story for now.

The gameplay and the art style are immediately eye-catching, for Romeo is a Dead Man, and hopefully we don't have to wait too deep into 2026 to get our hands on the game.
