From the looks of it, the already 'controversial' skin suit from Eve in the upcoming Stellar Blade isn't just a cosmetic suit.

Some days ago, a demo for Shift Up's upcoming action-adventure title was briefly available for download before Sony removed the demo (and acquired licenses) from the official PlayStation Store. Some, however, managed to play the demo, and gameplay footage made its way online. The game includes numerous suits for the main protagonist Eve, and according to the developer, a lot of time has been spent designing the 'backside' of Eve to the game's third-person perspective. Partly due to this 'design' choice, the game recently received an 18+ rating in Korea due to explicit body exposure.

As said, demo footage surfaced, including gameplay from Eve's rather revealing "skin suit" model. This suit quickly went viral on social media with some saying that this suit has nothing to do with playing video games. We've included some short videos that were posted on X from Eve below. One video features Eve climbing stairs, showing off the game's 'physics'. The other video shows Eve's "Skin Suit' in detail.

From the looks of it, however, this revealing suit isn't merely a cosmetic for Eve as it also should increase the game's difficulty by removing Eve's "Shield" when wearing the suit. We've included a screenshot of the suit (courtesy of GamersPrey) below. The description of the suit reads as follows:

"Skin suits are outfits specifically by Mother Sphere. It covers the body of the Airborne Squad Member and deploys on its own, or expands and contracts depending on the situation. In other words, it's like a living skin. (Shield is disabled when you put on this Skin Suit)."

Stellar Blade launches on April 26 for PlayStation 5. A PC version is also to be expected in the near future.
