Starfield Update Adds Much-Demanded FOV Sliders, Improves Intel GPU Stability, and More

Since launching last month, one of the most often-cited irritations with Starfield was the inability to adjust your field-of-view, something considered a must for first-person games these days. Mods have been released that allow players to alter their field of view, but it is something that really should be a standard option, and now it is!

The latest Starfield update adds a FOV slider, improves stability and performance generally, with inter Arc GPUs being a particular focus, and more. It’s a small-ish patch, but solid in terms of delivering features players want. You can check out the full patch notes for Starfield update 1.7.36, below.

General

• FOV: Sliders are now available in Settings that allow players using first person or third person to adjust their field of view.

Performance and Stability

• [PC ONLY] Improved stability for Intel Arc GPUs.
• Various additional stability and performance improvements.

Quest

• Echoes of the Past: Addressed an issue where tunneling creatures could pick an inaccessible location that would prevent progression.
