Update: Well, here’s a weird one – apparently this update accidentally gave players access to Spider-Man 2’s developer debug mode. Insomniac is warning that entering debug mode could corrupt saves, although playing as normal shouldn’t cause an issue (you need to enter a button combination to activate debug mode). Needless to say, Insomniac will likely be patching up this whoopsie soon, but they may have opened up a bit of a Pandora’s box.

Original story: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has just dropped one of its biggest updates yet, which includes the game’s long-promised New Game+ which allows you to level up further and earn some exclusive NG+ cosmetics. Insomniac is also rolling out a variety of other quality-of-life features, including the ability to replay missions, change the time of day whenever you want, and a host of new accessibility options. And hey, what would a big update be without some new suits? The update adds the new “Hellfire Gala” suits and the $5 paid “Fresh n’ Fly” suit pack, which goes to benefit the Gameheads non-profit tech training org.
