Here’s How You Can Save About $150 While Purchasing an Xbox One X Through Microsoft Store

One of the biggest points of contention when it comes to Microsoft’s Xbox One X console is its price. Many gamers feel that $499 is just too much, even though the hardware is far more powerful than Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro.

Those hoping for a Black Friday deal will most likely be disappointed, as chances for a discount just a few weeks after the launch are slim to none – especially as the Xbox One X is selling very well so far. However, there is a way to pay almost $150 less than the current RRP, though there are some caveats.

First of all, you’ll need to have access to one of the following mobile devices: Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 active, Galaxy S6, Gear S2 (with NFC only) and Gear S3.

That’s because the bulk of this opportunity happens through Samsung Pay‘s exclusive app, where Xbox Gift Cards are currently available at a significant discount – $50 cards cost $40. You can purchase two of these Xbox Gift Cards per day, up to a total of $500, which would take five days; however, if you have friends or family with access to the aforementioned mobile devices, you can do this quicker than that. You’ll also get $5 back on your first Samsung Pay purchase (add the code REWARD), and a free $10 Amazon Gift Card after purchasing three Xbox Gift Cards provided you’ve paid with Mastercard.

That’s a $115 saving – you’d spend $400 and get $500 in Xbox Gift Cards, which can be redeemed on the Microsoft Store to purchase an Xbox One X console (though you’ll have to wait a while as the Store estimates that the next shipments will occur on November 30th), as well as getting $5 back from Samsung and $10 to spend on Amazon on anything you’d like. Of course, you may also use the balance to purchase anything else other than the Xbox One X from the Microsoft Store, including software from the recent Black Friday 2017 game sale.

There are more savings to get, though – or rather, cashback. By signing up on TopCashBack, you’ll be able to get 8% cashback (for four more days, after that it’ll be 4% cashback) when you buy Xbox or Surface products on Microsoft Store. Since the Xbox One X is priced at $499, that’s $40 in cashback.

Summarizing, you can purchase an Xbox One X with a discount of $145 while getting a bonus $10 Amazon Gift Card. That doesn’t sound too bad, does it? Let us know if you go ahead with the plan!
