After a year of exclusively running Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 across all regions, it seems like Samsung is going back to Exynos with the Galaxy S24 series. However, this will not be a full-blown run but a limited one to test the waters. Over the past couple of weeks, we have been hearing a lot about the Exynos 2400, and with every new piece of information, it solidifies that Samsung is indeed working on a new SoC, and there is a high chance that it could be featured on the upcoming Galaxy S24.

Samsung could do a limited test run with Exynos 2400 in the base Galaxy S24 to show whether the company has fixed what's wrong with Exynos or not

Today's tip is not a confirmation but a rumor that suggests that the base Galaxy S24 variant will use the Exynos 2400 in some regions, whereas the Plus variant and the Ultra variant will both feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy.

Now, it is important to know that the source has claimed that the Galaxy S24 is only going to use the Exynos 2400 in select regions. I am not sure what regions, but it would be safe to assume that Samsung would choose the regions where phones perform the best in terms of sale. Based on some recent data, we found out that the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23 Ultra sold the highest, with the Plus variant being the lowest. There have been rumors that Samsung might kill the Plus variant next year, but we cannot confirm anything.

Honestly, at this point, the thought of the Exynos 2400 is exciting. If anything, it will be Samsung's time to shine once again, and I am really hoping that the chipset is exceptional in terms of performance and can at least rival the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 if not beat it. We understand that Samsung has had a rough time with its devices, but the Galaxy S24 and Exynos 2400 could be a turning point for the South Korean firm.

We will keep you posted as we hear more about Samsung's progress on the Exynos 2400 as we move forward.
